Cajuns make Impression on Antoine

Belle Chase (La) safety Quadry Antoine attended UL Junior Day this weekend left with an offer in hand. Antoine talked about his exerience at UL's Junior Day.

One of the top Safety prospects in Louisiana had the chance to take a trip to the Home of the Cajuns this past weekend. Quadry Antoine, the 5ft 11 207lb Safety from Belle Chasse HS, talks to the Cajun Redzone about his upcoming season, his recruitment, and the impression made on him on his visit to Louisiana's campus.

In talking about his senior season, Quadry felt like he had a lot to be optimistic about.

"Last year we were a very young team, but we gained a ton of experience. This year I really think we can do great things and make a run at state. We play in a very tough district, but if you can win it or finish 2nd you can win state."

Several schools have taken notice of the talented Antoine on the recruiting trail as well.

"We I have been offered by UL, Arkansas State, Western Kentucky, and North Texas called me tonight and told me they are going to offer me this week. I am also hearing from Mississippi State, Alabama, and LSU. I am planning on go to camp at Mississippi State, Alabama, LSU, and UL for sure. I might go to Arkansas State too if time allows."

Antoine has already attended camp at Mississippi State and got a chance to check out Louisiana this past weekend.

"It was a very good trip. I loved the weight room and the football facilities. Their coaching staff was awesome as well. I got to hang out and talk to them and they were great. I got to talk to my position Coach, Coach Rebowe and he was awesome. It was awesome to see their work ethic and all they put into it. They really made me feel comfortable."

While Quadry isn't in any hurry to make a decision, he did leave UL with the Cajuns high on his list.

"They will definitely be in it until the end. If one of the SEC schools offer, it might help with my decision, because every athlete wants to test himself against the best. But I plan on waiting until after the season, or close to signing day before I decide. But UL will definitely be in it until the end."
