After all the festivities of Signing Day are over, recruits get to try to get back into the normal routine of being a high school Senior. They get to focus on grades, girlfriends, prom, track, and graduation. But they are also going to be college athletes so there are some expectations for them as well. Today we talk to DeShaun McNeal about what the Oxford; MS WR is doing to get ready to be a Cajun.

One of the things that the coaching staff of UL sends the players is a workout program. Deshaun explains what the program is like.

"The sent us like this workout type Bible thing. It's huge. Man the terminator couldn't do most of those workouts. But I know one thing; I am going to be in great condition when I get to UL."

One thing that the record setting WR does to help with his conditioning is participating in Track and Field.

"I have been participating in the triple jump. I am going to break the school record there. But right now I am 6ft 4 and 200lbs because of the "Terminator" program."

McNeal has had a dream since he was little and plans to pursue that at UL.

"I am dead set on Majoring in Architecture. I am finishing up an Algebra 2 course and that's all I get left to do and I am good. We are reporting in early June."

The coaches for the Cajuns still keep up with Deshaun and he has developed a good relationship with his position coach.

"I talk to Coach Hud and Coach Munoz. Coach Munoz is a very cool guy. I am set on coming down there this year and winning a job. I will do everything I can to do that."

His senior year, Deshaun was named 5A First Team All-State by the Mississippi Association of Coaches. He finished the year second in the State of Mississippi with 81 receptions for 1,236 yards and 15 TD's while averaging 15.3 yards per catch.
