Justin Hamilton
became a priority for one reason; he is a big, strong run stopper that every team needs to control the line of scrimmage. Justin is working hard to get ready to be a Cajun and explains what he has been up to since signing day.
One of the things Justin wanted to do was become even stronger than he already was.
"I am working out everyday, running and lifting weights. One of the things I wanted to do is get stronger and I have done that. The other thing I wanted to do was lose some weight. Right now I am at 6ft 2 and 330lbs."
Hamilton realizes that his path to success starts in the classroom and he is making sure he takes care of business.
"I am working hard to make sure that I keep my grades up and keep myself in good standing. I am going to major in Kinesiology so I can be a coach one day."
Justin is staying in constant contact with the coaches, making sure they don’t forget him.
"I talk to Coach Stringer all the time. I am reporting for the first session of summer school. The coaches have told me that I am in a position of need and that I can come in and play right away with hard work."
Hamilton was named to 6A First Team All-State by the Mississippi Association of Coaches as a senior and was selected to play in the 24th annual Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic. He started Started on the offensive and defensive line, recording 32 knockdowns and graded 85% as an offensive lineman. As a defensive lineman, had 24 solo tackles, 16 assists, four tackles-for-loss, four sacks, five quarterback hurries, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
