Jacquet Quietly Adding Offers

Jesuit High (LA) offensive lineman Todd Jacquet is quietly becoming one of the top sleepers in Louisiana's 2012 Class. The big offensive lineman that has picked up three offers thus far this spring spoke with the Cajun Redzone about his recruitment.

At "6-5", 265 –pounds, Jesuit lineman Todd Jacquet has the build that most college programs look for in developing a young lineman. Jacquet has a long wing span which suggests he could play outside at the next level, which is why college programs are starting to take a closer look at him this spring. His efforts to get more notice from college recruiters began in Texas at the Nike All-American Bowl Combine.

"I was invited to participate in the Nike All-American Bowl Under Classmen Combine in San Antonio," Todd said. "They had a number of top juniors there and the competition was good. I really didn't speak to anyone after the combine, but I thought I performed pretty well against some very good athletes."

The exposure in San Antonio has parlayed into three early offers for Jacquet this spring.

"I have three offers right now from ULL, Florida International and Northwestern," stated Jacquet. "I received letters from all three schools stating that they are officially offering me a scholarship. All three have sent coaches by the school this spring and said they would be back to watch me during spring football."

"Coach Rebowe is recruiting me for ULL," Jacquet stated. "I haven't spoken to him because of the non-contact period, but Coach told me the Cajuns are very interested in me and would like to see me attend their camp this summer. I plan of going to ULL's football camp this summer and several others at this point."

Jacquet did attend any junior days, but he did attend two spring games.

"I didn't have time to attend any junior days, but I did attend the spring games at Auburn and LSU," said Todd. "It was fun to watch those games and take in the environment. I have some interest in those schools, but they haven't offered me."

With summer right around the corner, what other camps will Jacquet attend this summer?

"I plan on attending the camps at Florida International and Northwestern," Jacquet stated. "I haven't made any decisions on other camps, but I'm going to consider any camp of programs that offer me this spring."

Todd Jacquet is an outstanding student, scoring a 31 on his ACT and is currently holding a 3.1 GPA in his core. He hasn't decided yet, but is considering majoring in Pre-med or Engineering.
