Oak Grove Kicker a Hot Commodity

Oak Grove (MS) HS Kicker Evan Sobiesk is starting to see his recruitment take off this spring. The 5ft 9 175lb specialist took the time to talk to the Cajun Redzone about his recruitment, his camp plans, and the Oak Grove Warriors football team.

You never realize how important a Kicker is to your team until you don't have one. One Kicker that is starting to see his recruitment take off is Oak Grove (MS) HS Kicker Evan Sobiesk. The 5ft 9 175lb specialist took the time to talk to the Cajun Redzone about his recruitment, his camp plans, and the Oak Grove Warriors football team.

Sobiesk is hearing from a who's who of the nation's best programs.

"I am hearing from UL, LSU, Rice, TCU, Houston, USM, Michigan State, Texas, North Carolina, Brown, Harvard, Princeton, and Florida. I plan on camping at Florida, UL, LSU, USM, Michigan State, and I also got invited to the Chris Taylor Top 12 Camp in Los Angeles. Only the top 12 kickers in the country get to attend that."

To get Evans attention, several factors are very important to him.

"Academics first and foremost. But then there's the schools football team. I want to go somewhere where the football team matters. Then there is the fan base. I want to go to a place where the fans go nuts about their team. The atmosphere at the stadium has to be unreal."

Concerning his senior year, Evan is really excited about the Warriors team.

"I think we got a really good shot this year. Last year we just had so much to replace, we had to reload at every position. This year we have everyone back. Our Quarterback is coming back, our entire defense is coming back, and on a personal note my snapper and holder are back. I feel very confident in our chances."

Chris Sailer's (Chris Sailer Kicking) Comments Evan has as much potential as anyone in the country. A great athlete, with a huge leg. His best ball can rival anyone. A fine young man that I believe will only continue to improve. Definite D1 Prospect.
