Farmer Headed to UL Camp

Harrison Central HS OL Brandon Farmer has recently attend camps at USM, MSU and Gulf Coast Community College's Lineman Camp. Next stop for Farmer will be Louisiana's Ragin'Cajun Football camp this weekend.

Brandon Farmer started his camp tour recently by attending camps at Southern Mississippi, Mississippi State, and Gulf Coast Community College's Lineman Camp. Next weekend, Farmer will be heading to the only school that has had enough faith in him to pull the trigger on an offer when he comes to Lafayette to attend Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns camp.

Farmer was happy to get to some camps and get his summer tour started.

"Southern Miss Camp was really cool. I learned some stuff there. Mississippi State's camp was really good. I got to go head to head with Quay Evans there. That was awesome. He got me twice but I also held him down twice. That was really exciting. The coaches came up to me afterwards and told me what a great job I did. They told me to be patient with them, that they were going to take their time with me and maybe offer later on. Said that if they didn't offer soon, it wasn't my fault it was his. I am really excited to head down for UL's camp next weekend and I am also going to try to get to South Alabama's camp."

Farmer said he basically has three schools sticking out to him.

"Right now I like Mississippi State, UL, and Alabama. Those are the three I am hearing from the most. UL is my only offer so they would be my number one right now."

As far as the Cajuns are concerned, Farmer has heard from the right people to peak his interest.

"I have talked to Coach Rodrigue. He said they really want me. I also called and talked to Coach Hud. He said he watched my film and fell in love with me as a player. I really like the coaches and cant wait to get down there for camp." Recommended Stories
