Friday night is a big game for Batiste and his Dutchtown teammates.

"We are 4-0 right now. We play Destrehan Friday night. They are a good team. Its a big game for us for sure. We have to go out there and play hard and get this win."

A new team has started to recruit Batiste of late. He is hearing from them pretty regularly now.

"I have been hearing a good bit from Minnesota. I am talking to their DB coach. They need defensive ends that can come in and play right away. He said i have a good build and that I am a great player. Plus its a bigtime team in a bigtime conference. I will look at them if I get a chance to play early, but I am still solid to UL."

Talking about UL, Batiste is still very much firm in his commitment.

"Man it made me feel so good to see that they beat FIU. I knew these coaches were gonna turn things around. i just wish it was next year so i could be out there beating them too."
