Saturday is a big day for the talented wide out. Bates will be playing in the Bernard Blackwell Classic for the North squad.

"I got the All Star Game Saturday. I am pretty pumped up about it. It will be on TV and I get to show what I can do against very good players. I am gonna try to hurry up and get home so I can watch my Cajuns play."

Since the day Bates committed, he has maintained that he was a Cajun. recent coaching changes at other school's proved to bring new attention, but Bates isn't buying into it.

"I went to a lot of games down in Lafayette. Coach Hud told me they were going to be a good team this year. And next year they need some good players and I want to be a part of that. I am still 100% committed to the Cajuns. Ole Miss' new coach came by the school and asked me to come check them out. I am a Cajun. I dont see any sense in taking any other visits. I know where I want to be."
