George Gets Two Visits This Week

Acadiana HS (La) OLB prospect Claude George spoke to two college coaches this week, visiting the Rams campus during the first week of the spring evaluation period. Which schools were the first to visit Acadiana High and George this week?

"Coach Johnson from UL came by school Monday," George stated. "He asked how my grades were and picked up my transcripts; he told me to keep working hard and he would come by to see me during spring practice in a couple of weeks. Coach said they are looking at me as an OLB that can play on the edge standing up or rush the quarterback from the down position. I plan on attending one of UL's football camps this summer."

Within a day or so, George ran into another football coach from a Louisiana program.

"Coach Chavis from LSU came by campus and I ran into him right before he left," mentioned Claude. "He told me he picked up my transcripts and that he will be back to watch me during spring football. When I visited for LSU's Junior Day we sat down in his office and talked about where he thought I could play on the Tiger's defense. Coach said he thought I could play some defensive end in their system and that I had enough speed to play some OLB as well. I'm going to attend one of LSU's camps this summer for sure."

Claude George continues to get interest from other programs on Facebook and by mail. What other programs have expressed interest in Acadiana's highest rated defensive player?

"I've gotten mail or messages on Facebook from Nebraska, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Alabama," George stated. "I attended Junior Day at Mississippi State and I liked it. Coach Scott from Ole Miss has sent me messages to me on Facebook as well. Those are the schools I plan on attending football camps at this summer."
