Shelby Talking Camps
WR Kent Shelby just finished spring football with his Shaw teammates, during which a number of college football coaches stopped in to check on the rising prep recruit. Shelby was more than happy to mention the programs that visited campus to check on him. "We had Marshall, Tulane, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, UL, North Texas, Southern Miss, McNeese and a few others come by school during spring football," Shelby noted. Coach Knox (MSU) and Coach Rebowe (UL) both stopped by and spoke with coach about inviting me to their camps in June. Those are the two camps I'm set to attend UL on June 9th and Mississippi State's camp on June 10th." While Shelby has a number of programs interest in his services, two stick out to him at this time. "I like UL and Mississippi State," mentioned Kent. "I went to junior days at both schools and had the opportunity to look at the facilities and talk to the coaches. I talk to Coach Hudspeth and Coach Knox on face book; both say they are looking forward to me coming into camp." Kent Shelby has no offers yet; does he think anyone will over him soon? "Yes, I think UL will over when I get to camp," Shelby stated. "Coach Hudspeth always tells me that he is really excited about me coming down to and is looking forward to seeing me perform in camp. Coach Hudspeth gets me hyped up with his messages and I'm really looking forward to going to their camp next month." Kent Shelby has some work to do on the ACT, scoring a 15 on his first take of the test. Kent completed the 2011 academic year with a 2.7 GPA.
