Brown Looking to Finish Strong in Camps

The Shreveport Louisiana area is known for producing its share of quality high school football prospects. Fair Park High senior athlete Savion Brown (6’1, 195) has shown his skills at football camps this summer and is trying to add his name to that list. Brown told the Cajun Redzone recently that he still has some things to prove in July camps.

“I went to camp at Mississippi State and they asked me to come back in for the July prospect camp,” Brown stated. “The coaches told me that they liked how I performed in the camp and they wanted me to come back in July to see me work against other athletes; if I do well in that camp they may offer me then.”

Savion Brown realizes that there are other programs interested in him coming in to one of their camps and has decided to attend a few more after Mississippi State.

“I plan on going to LSU and ULL camps in July too,” Savion mentioned. “I want to show those coaches that I can play with anyone they have in camp and compete against the best. I worked at cornerback at the Mississippi State camp and I will probably work out there again at those camps as well.

Brown will quarterback the Fair park offense this fall but he will also see time at cornerback on the defensive side of the football as well. While he currently holds no offers, coaches have been in constant contact with Savion on Face book and feels offers will come with an improved ACT score.

“Yea, the Coach Knox from Mississippi State and Coach Lovings from ULL keep up with me on Face book,” Brown stated. LSU and Arkansas coaches are checking in with me right now as well so I'm going to try to get to those camps in July. Right now I’m going back to Mississippi State, then to LSU, ULL and probably Arkansas as well. I think my offers will come after those camps.”
