Cage Blows Up at UL Camp

UL's July Prospect Camp attracted a number of top high school football prospects to Lafayette Sunday. A few of the top names performed as expected, but one of the top athletes in the camp holds no offers yet this summer. Zachary HS (La) Safety/Linebacker (6'2,195) Larry Cage showed his skills are going to garner offers from colleges soon.
Larry Cage
attended only two camps before Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun Prospect Camp Sunday, so he has not worked out for a number of colleges this summer. But Cage made a strong impression on the Cajun's staff Sunday!
"I only attended camps at
LSU
and
Mississippi State
this summer," Cage pointed out. "UL's camp was only the third camp I was able to attend; I just couldn't get to a number of camps this summer so I really haven't had the opportunity to work out for other programs."
Cage not only impressed in coverage showing the staff that he has the hips to turn and run with receivers, he ran a blazing 4.4 forty at (6'2,195) pounds.
"The coaches told me they like me and are going to come watch me during the fall," Larry stated. I could play safety and outside linebacker in their system; I showed that I have the ability to play somewhere at the next level."
Larry Cage like other prospects in attendance had the opportunity to tour the facilities for the first time.
"I like the facilities and the stadium; Coach Hudpseth also talked about the improvements planned and show us the new dorms," Cage mentioned. "The program is moving in the right direction with the changes going on and the bowl win and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with them this fall."
