Fleeton Solid with Louisiana

Daphne High QB TJ Fleeton committed to the UL this summer after attending the Ragin' Cajuns Senior Prospect Camp. The (6'3, 215) athlete is having a big season for the Trojans and decided to travel down to Lafayette and watch the Cajuns battle preseason Sun Belt favorite Florida International. Fleeton spoke to the Cajun Redzone about is visit and commitment to UL.

"We really enjoyed coming down to UL and visiting for the game," said Fleeton. "We were treated well and welcomed by the coaching staff and we enjoyed how they culturally just welcome you. I felt comfortable on my visit and we enjoyed the game atmosphere."

When asked if he is still solid on his commitment to UL and if he has any doubts about his decision, Fleeton quickly made it clear that the Cajuns are his final decision.

"No, ULL is the right program for me," TJ stated. "I really like the staff, I fit with the offensive scheme they are running and they have very good academics. My parents are happy with my decision as well and they were impressed with the staff and the campus as we looked around. We are all very comfortable with the idea of me attending UL and playing college football."

Fleeton has passed for over 800 yards and thrown for 6 touchdowns in five games this season. Is there a program that is still recruiting him after he made his commitment to Louisiana?

"I'm still hearing from South Florida," Fleeton mentioned. "They are sending letters just about every week and a few others had contacted coach, but he has told them I'm committed to ULL. I also hear from Samford often as well."

With football season in full swing, will he try to make it back to Lafayette before he comes in on his official visit?

"I'm going to try and come back to a couple of more game this season," TJ stated. "I might come down for the South Alabama game and I would like to come back for the ULM game; that is going to be a good game. If everything works out, we will definitely come back down."

Fleeton reported a ACT score of 25 and a 2.9 GPA in his core.
