Center Frank Sutton
Jr. has received a lot of attention from Louisiana, Southern Miss
this fall. While he received an offer ULM, the other suitors are still evaluating his play this fall before making an offer. Sutton camped at UL this summer and was invited to the Tulane
game by his area recruiter Coach Edwards. What were his impressions of the UL Ragin' Cajuns program?
"I really like ULL and the staff," Sutton stated. "I was impressed with the way staff treated me and my family; it just felt like home to me. The crowd was great and the game atmosphere was really fun for homecoming. We really enjoy our visit down there and plan on coming back for another game."
Does Sutton feel that he could be close to garnering an offer from Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns?
"You know I'm not sure yet, but I feel like they are close," said Frank. "I emailed some of my senior video to them to evaluate and Coach Edwards said he would come out and watch me play soon. Coach Hudspeth sounds like he is really looking at me hard and they could be ready to offer me soon.
While Frank and his family sat in the stands watching the game, Sutton was keeping a close eye on the play on the offensive line.
"I watched the offensive line throughout the game," Sutton mentioned. "They did a lot of zone blocking up front and pulled guards in some plays as well. We do some similar things up front in our offense and theirs is very similar."
Sutton has also visited ULM for their big home game against Baylor
last month and plans to return to Monroe on November 3rd the Ragin ‘Cajuns travel up to ULM to battle the Warhawks in a crucial Sun Belt Conference game for both programs.
"I visited ULM for the Baylor game and it had a great time," Frank stated. "They had a really good crowd and the fans were great. I like ULM as well and along with ULL are the two programs that are recruiting me the hardest right now. I plan on taking a visit back to Monroe when they play ULL in November because that is going to be a good game. I also plan to visit Southern Miss for their homecoming game this month as well."
Frank Sutton Jr. reports that he scored a 20 on his most recent ACT score and a 3.9 GPA this year.
