Cryer Talks UL Camp

UL commit Riverdale High WR Lorenzo Cryer (6'2,185) came out to the Ragin' Cajuns satellite camp at Tad Gormley Stadium in June to show the staff that he can compete against the best in attendance. The Cajun commitment spoke to the Redzone about his performance at the June satellite camp.

"I thought I showed them I can catch the ball and compete against the best at the camp," Cryer stated. "Coach Hudspeth said I looked smooth catching the football and that he was happy with the way I performed and invited me to come up to Lafayette to their camp on July 21st and take a look around on the visit. Coach Rebowe told me pretty much the same thing and that they didn't need to see me work out again."

Riverdale High has not won many games in the past two seasons, but Cryer has been one of the core athletes in the program playing quarterback, defensive back and wide receiver. Cryer looks forward to coming in to Lafayette on July 21st and taking a look around the campus.

"Yea, since they just want me to come up to camp and just kind of hang out it will be fun," Lorenzo said. "I've been going at it since the beginning of summer and it will give me the opportunity to check everything out while I'm on campus and visit with the staff. I'm going to also watch some of the guys that are coming to work out in the camp."

Lorenzo Cryer will make two other camps before making the trip up to Lafayette in July.

"I'm going to attend the Southern Miss camp in a couple of weeks and the Mississippi State under the lights camp afterwards," Cryer stated. The Southern Miss camp is a one day camp and the Mississippi State camp will be over a couple of days in Starkville. After the UL camp I'm going to focus on workouts and getting ready for my senior season. Recommended Stories
