Jeremy Cook, a member of the Louisiana Football Magazine pre-season Top 40 College prospects list has decided to sign with the Louisiana Ragin Cajun football program.
The 6-5, 250-pound Cook was named All District,All Metro and honorable mention 3A All State at Baker High after registering 108 tackles,22 behind the line of scrimmage.
Cook started three years at Baker High and weighed 220 pounds as a sophomore. At 250 pounds,Cook has long arms and has the frame to gain weight to move inside in college. Cook runs well for a 250-pounder with a 4.8 forty time.
Cook is a 3.2 student,but has not qualified academically to play as a freshman. To Qualify as a freshman, Cook must score a 18 on the ACT. Cook has made an 18 on his second try but had the score thrown out because it was too big of an increase over his previous test.
Jeremy Cook will join JC offensive lineman Eric Benoit 6-4,300 as the second athlete to commit to the Cajun program since February 7th.
