Cajuns Travel to College Station

The NCAA announced the field of 64 for the upcoming NCAA Baseball Championships and the Cajuns will travel to College Station as a No.2 seed to face the No.3 seed Ohio State.
The Ragin’ Cajuns (43-15) will play Big Ten Tournament Champion
Ohio State
(37-22) in the first round. Tournament host, and No. 1 seed,
Texas A&M
(44-16) will take on No. 4 Le Moyne (34-17).
Ohio State, fresh off it's Big 10 Tournament Championship, enters the regional with a Pomeroy power rating of No.73. The Buckeyes have a strenght of schedule rating of No.112.
For the Cajuns, the NCAA berth is the 11th in school history and the second in the last three years. The Cajuns amassed a 43-15 record on the year and won the Sun Belt Conference regular season with a 23-7 conference mark.
Texas A&M (44-16) did not recieve a national seed, but won the Big 12 Tournament Championship this past weekend and secured one of the last regional host sites.
The Ragin’ Cajuns faced Texas A&M in San Antonio last season at the Baseball Express Collegiate Baseball Classic. The Cajuns claimed a 7-1 victory over the No. 15 Aggies, as Hunter Moody tossed a complete game three-hitter in a 7-1 victory.
The Cajuns last played Ohio State in the 2003 Mardi Gras Ball Baseball Classic at M.L. “Tigue” Moore Field. The Buckeyes claimed a 7-3 victory over the Cajuns.
Unless the game is moved for television, the Cajuns and Buckeyes are scheduled to play on Friday, June 1 at 1:00 p.m.
