Leavoy Has Offer At ILB Position

Lindsey Leavoy worked mostly at DE when he recently attended football camp at Auburn, but the Ragin' Cajun Staff likes the 6-3, 245-pound senior at ILB.

"I really would like to stay at linebacker, but if given the opportunity to play, I will play at DE. The Cajuns' offered me at linebacker, along with Northwestern State; so I'm going to camp on July 8th and visit."

Leavoy had an outstanding junior year for St.Michael's high totaling 77 tackles, with three sacks and one interception. But football isn't the only sport the Lindsey Leavoy enjoys.

"I enjoy wrestling for St. Michaels too; I wrestle in the heavy weight class."

It's been a busy summer so far for Leavoy; he has attended camp at Louisiana Tech and Auburn. And after he attends the UL prospect camp on July 8th, he has plans to attend one more summer camp.

"I have attended camps at Auburn and Louisiana Tech, and after UL I plan on attending camp at LSU on June 22nd."

Football is not the only concern for Leavoy in choosing the right college to attend. Academics are extremely important for this student athlete that carries 3.6 GPA and scored a 29 on his ACT.

"You don't know what will happen with football, so academics are important to me as well. I'm interested in engineering, so I'm not only looking at the football program, but the academic reputation of the university as well."

Leavoy plans on taking all his visits, before making a decision on which college he will attend.

"I would like to play close to home, but I'm going to take all my visits and then probably make a decision midway through football season."
