Alabama Defensive Lineman Enjoys Cajun Camp

Frank Trotter traveled to Louisiana to participate in the Louisiana Ragin'Cajun Football camp. The big 6-2,260 defensive lineman was not disappointed that he made the trip.

Frank Trotter has attended camps at Alabama and Auburn, but he had one more trip in mind when he traveled down to Lafayette, Louisiana to participate in the Louisiana Football Camp. Trotter spoke to Cajun RedZone about his camp experience and tour of the football facilities.

"It was my first trip down to Lafayette, Louisiana and I really enjoyed it. I like the football field and the indoor practice facility is really nice. When they get the artificial turf in the building, it's going to a really nice practice facility."

Trotter has been working really hard during the off season to improve himself for the 2007 football season. After running a 4.92 forty at the Cajun camp, the coaches spoke to him about specific improvements he will need to work on this summer.

"The coaches told me to work on my stance and using my hands to give me better leverage against the opposing lineman. My bench is now at 295 pounds, so I'm working on my strength as well."

Frank spoke briefly about what he is looking for in a college football program.

"I'm looking at location and the opportunity to play by my sophomore year. So Louisiana is not that far away from home and I really like their facilities."

The Leflore High Lineman that recently scored 17 on the ACT and carried a 2.7 GPA last year, is looking for a good Sports Medicine Program.

"I'm interested in Sports Medicine, so that curriculum is important to me if I choose a college."
