Wednesday's scrimmage, was the final of the fall. Once again, the offense execution was sloppy being whistled for five penalties, one negating a 22-yard Tyrell Fenroy run.

Coach Bustle wasted no time expressing his disappointment in the poor execution and lack of discipline from the Cajun Offense.

“We have to be better disciplined. I was disappointed in them again.”

As the offense sputtered at times, absent starting tackle Jessie Newmann, quarterback Michael Desormeaux 7-of-13 passes and was sacked once. Cajun running backs Tyrell Fenroy and Deon Wallace combined for 73 yards on 13 carries, including one touchdown.

The defense followed up Saturdays' scrimmage with another solid outing. The defense had several sacks, five quarterback pressures and held the passing game to just 53 yards.

“The defense came out and set a tone,” stated Bustle. “It’s hard to move the length of the field if you keep backing up."

The highlight of the special teams play during the scrimmage, was a kick-off return of Derek Smith of over 51 yards.
