Wilson Gives Cajuns Verbal

The Ragin Cajun program was looking to fill one scholarship at the TE position for the 2008 class. The Cajuns have now found that man in Dutchtown TE Brendan Wilson.

At 6-5 236-ounds, Brendan Wilson fits the proto-type TE that the Ragin Cajun coaching staff likes to recruit. Wilson has become the latest high school athlete to give a commitment to the Cajun Football program.

"I really like the coaches at UL and they are young right now, so I think the future looks bright for the program."

Wilson told Cajun Redzone that it was not just about the coaches, but the improvements that the football program is planning for the future.

"The coaches told me that the university was going to name a new president and about the addition to the weight room that is planned. They also mentioned that more money would be going into the football program."

Brendan made the trip down to Lafayette with Dutchtown teammates DE Sean Osborne and WR Thomas Jackson for the Florida Atlantic game.

"I think we all enjoyed the trip and meeting with the coaches. This was the second game that I have attended this year, the first game was North Texas."

Wilson already has a major in mind for his college education.

"I'm really interested in the business program. I know UL has a very good business school, so that has me excited as well."
