Cajun Football Issues Statement On Laday

Louisiana's Ragin Cajun Football Staff has released a statement, requesting that Scout correct information in regards to the recruitment of Texas Hightower wide receiver Anthony Laday.

Cajun Red Zone was notified by Louisiana's Ragin'Cajun Football staff in a statement released this week that Texas Hightower wide receiver Anthony Laday is not being recruited by the program.

The following statement has been released to Louisiana Scout.com and the Scout network from the Cajun Football Staff.

"As you are aware I can only confirm or deny recruiting the young man. We are not recruiting the young man. I'm sure you are aware many student athletes and their families read these board, so incorrect information is read by potential recruits."

Cajun RedZone spoke to Anthony Laday and Hightower head coach Gene Jonhson on September 14th. in a twenty minute phone interview inwhich both confirmed Laday's commitment to the UL program. We were not aware that this information was not correct until recently.

It is the practice of the Cajun RedZone to verify all commitments by phone with the student athlete before publishing a story.
