Sean Osborne is set to make an official recruiting visit to Louisiana on Jan. 18th. Osborne went on an unofficial visit a couple of weeks ago and pretty much made his decision to give the Cajuns a verbal.
Sean Osborne
has cast his lot with the Ragin Cajuns, but he won't be playing on the defensive side of the ball next fall. The Ragin'Cajun football staff is projecting Osborne as an offensive tackle.
"Coach Hudson spoke to me about what position he invisions me at in the future. He told me that with my frame,I should be able to add some weight and maintain my quickness. He did say that if I was better then a starting guard, then they would move inside to compete. Coach Hudson believes in putting the best five out on the field."
So why did Sean Osborne make his decision now, and not take his visit to
Air Force
?
“I like really like the program and the coaching staff, “Osborne said.“My best friend,
Brendan Wilson
committed to the program and it was just a good fit for me.”
As a senior, Osborne made more than 70 tackles for the Dutchtown Griffins, who advanced to the quarterfinals for the first time. He was a second-team All-District 6-5A player for Dutchtown.
"I was injured last year, so I really wanted to show people that I could play."
Besides UL and Air Force, Osborne said he also had offers from Central Arkansas, Southeastern Louisiana and Nicholls State. An honor student with a 3.3 grade point average, Osborne has already met the NCAA’s academic qualifying standards. He plans to major in either marketing or business finance.
"When I visited with my parents several weeks back, I toured the campus and the Moody Business School. It was a really nice building, I really liked the business school."
With Osborne's verbal, the Cajuns now stand at 10 commitments as of Friday,December 28th.
