Ross Goodlett Plays The Game Hard

Parents and coaches often mention the word character in passing, but Ragin’Cajun wide receiver Ross Goodlett exemplifies the word on and off the field with his effort.

If you are one of those fans that can’t wait to read everything printed about our Cajun football team then you have heard of (17) Ross Goodlett. He is a freshmen walk on and WR. He actually won Scout Team player of the week 2 times last fall and he has been included in many articles during spring ball for his receiving abilities.

In fact at one practice last week, he caught more balls then any other receiver. At the beginning of spring ball he was also mentioned as making the play of the day with one of his famous one handed catches!

Wide Receivers Coach Mason said that Ross has the athletic ability to make a big impact for the team. He stated that “Ross was tough, quick and had a great work ethic”. He went to Fontainebleau High School in Mandeville and played most of his time there as the starting QB.

During his senior year he switched to WR and he and the new QB had an uncanny way of connecting. Ross is an intelligent player and extremely skilled at reading the QB because he played the position himself. He is a fun player to watch.
