Bowman finished 2-for-6 with 2 RBI, including a lead off double in the ninth and eventually scored on a throwing error.Scott Hawkins was 2-for-5 at the plate with two RBI. Senior Josh Logan became the 11th player in school history to record two triples in a game, finishing 2-for-4. It was the first two-triple outing for a Cajun since fellow centerfielder John Coker did it on May 14, 2005 against Middle Tennessee. On the mound, Senior Brent Solich retired only one batter and later became the beneficiary of the Cajuns’ 10th-inning run to earn the victory (2-4). Luke Wagley struck out a career-high six batters, while scattering two hits in five innings of relief. The Cajuns rally started in the ninth inning as they knotted the game at 4-4, effectively pushing the game to extra innings. Bowman lined a lead-off double down the right field line and eventually scored the tying run on Shon Landry’s second throwing error. In the 10th inning,Tyler Benzel led off with a single up the middle before Matt Hicks was hit by the next pitch to put two runners on base. After a sacrifice bunt and intentionally walking Logan to load the bases, Bowman delivered the game-winning hit to right field.
