Fenroy Named National Player of The Week

Tyrell Fenroy's school-record 297 yards rushing effort against Louisiana-Monroe has earned him the Walter Camp Football Foundation "National Bowl Subdivison Offensive Player Of The Week" award.

Senior running back Tyrell Fenroy rushed for a school-record 297 yards (on just 20 carries) and scored three touchdowns as Louisiana defeated Sun Belt Conference-rival Louisiana Monroe, 44-35. Fenroy scored on runs of 89, 52 and 80 yards as the Ragin’ Cajuns amassed a school-record 728 yards (including 556 rushing) of total offense in the victory. Fenroy has now rushed for 180 or more yards in each of his last three games.

About the Award: This is the fifth consecutive year that the Walter Camp Football Foundation will honor one offensive and one defensive player as its national Bowl Subdivision player of the week during the regular season. Recipients are selected by a panel of national media members and administered by the Walter Camp Football Foundation.
