Cajuns Basketball Gets Big Visit

This weekend is huge for the Louisiana Basketball Program, as the Ragin'Cajun staff host a big time post player.

For the second consecutive home game, the Cajun basketball program will be hosting big time post player. Cajun fans might recall the staff hosted former St. Martinsville native and Greensboro Day Prep forward Javan Mitchell for the Kent State game. The Cajun staff is currently awaiting the 6-9, 215-pound forwards final decision on his college destination.

This weekend, the Cajun basketball staff will welcome Texas Top 25 prospect, 6-10, 215-pound center Jarred Shaw. Shaw comes in ranked among the Top 200 basketball prospects in America.

Shaw is described as a long athlete with good size. His offensive game is not yet fully developed with a decent shot with his back to the basket and jump hook. Shaw is still considered a raw prospect by most publications, but has tremendous upside with better the average athletic ability.

The Cajuns are also high on San Jacinto PG Devin McDonald. McDonald has visited the Cajuns earlier this summer and has a strong friendship with current Ragin'Cajun and former teammate Jeremy Barr.

Javan Mitchell and Jarred Shaw have not met eligibility requirements to participate as freshmen in college. Recommended Stories
