Caesar Rodriguez Enjoys Visit to Louisiana
Caesar Rodriguez spoke highly about his visit to the Cajun campus for the first time.
"I've never been to the university, so it was a nice trip, Caesar said." "Coach Broussard was really cool and we talked about my position on the defense as we watched film."
The 6-3,215-pound Rodriguez is starting the garner attention from a few BCS programs as well.
"I have offers from Alabama State, Central Michigan, Western Michigan, Kent State, ULL, Florida International, Western Kentucky and Delaware. Rutgers and Michigan State have also called and are supposed to come by school tomorrow and talk to me."
Does Caesar have a timeline for making a decision on his final destination?
"Well if I get offers from Rutgers or Michigan State, I will probably have to make a decision soon after, Rodriguez said." "No one is pressuring me right now to make a decision, so we will see what happens."
Rodriguez currently maintains a 2.9 GPA and an 840 SAT score. Caesar is scheduled to take the ACT next week.
Andrew Joseph is another prospect from Coach Jenkins former stomping ground of Florida, as he prepped at Glades Day School in Glades, Florida. The 5-9, 170-pound speedster enrolled in Coffeyville Junior College because he was short on his ACT test score.
"I signed with a junior college out of high school because I did not score high enough on my ACT, Joseph stated." "I've worked on my test scores and now I'm eligible to graduate in a few weeks."
Joseph didn't take long to make an impression, as he was named All-Conference as a freshman this fall.
"I just came in and worked on the little things, Andrew said." "The coaches asked me about midway through the season to start returning kicks and punts to help the team."
Andrew spoke about his visit this weekend with Coach Mason and look at the campus.
"I really liked what I saw this weekend, Joseph said." "We watched film and the coaches want to play wide out in the offense. They didn't offer me, but coach stated that they would get back with me within the week."
"Look for the Cajuns to trip in more prospects in this weekend, as the dead period is fast approaching.
