Washington Sets official Visit

L'Damian Washington set up his next official visit with Louisiana's Ragin'Cajuns. Washington spoke to the Cajun RedZone about his recruitment.

L'Damian Washington has quietly built a resume for a potential college football scholarship at Green Oaks High in Shreveport, La. The 6-4, 185-pound WR had a breakout game against football power Rayville, in which he had 7 catches for 257 yards and three touchdowns. Washington spoke with the Cajun RedZone about his offer with Louisiana this evening.

"I have an official visit scheduled with ULL on December 20th, said Washington. "I couldn't travel down there this weekend because I have my ACT test this Saturday." <

The Cajuns have offered Washington at the WR position, which coach is recruiting him?

"Coach Darryl Mason is recruiting me ULL, Said L'Damian." "It's pretty cool that the position coach is your recruiter, that doesn't always happen."

What has Coach Brown told you about the Cajun offense and your opportunities with the program?

"Coach Brown told me they like my size and speed, Washington said." "He feels I could come in and compete as a true freshman."

"Is it important to you to play your freshman year in college?

"It's not as important to me to play as a true freshman, said L'Damian." "It's more important to me that the university has good academics and I get off to a good start in my courses."

Are all the programs that are interested in Washington seeing him as an offensive player?

"ULL and Tech have offered me at WR, said Washington." "LSU and Nebraska have talked to me about possibly playing on the defensive side of the ball at safety. I would really like to play at WR; I believe that gives me the best opportunity to play at the next level."

Washington maintains a 3.1 GPA and is qualified with score of 17 on the ACT. L'Damian is scheduled to retake the ACT this Saturday in hopes of raising previous score.
