Louisiana's Ragin'Cajuns opened Sun Belt Conference play Monday night with a 86-58 win over rival Louisiana-Monroe at the Cajun Dome.

Travis Bureau led four players in double figures with 18 points and Louisiana defeated Louisiana-Monroe 86-58 on Monday night.

Lamar Roberson added 15 off the bench, Ryan McCoy scored 13 and Chris Gradnigo had 11 for the Ragin' Cajuns (4-4, 1-0 Sunbelt Conference).

Louisiana shot 53.2 percent from the field (33 of 62), while going 6-for-12 from 3-point range. The Ragin' Cajuns held the Warhawks (2-7, 0-1) to just 27.1 shooting (16 of 59).

Rudy Turner had 18 points for Louisiana-Monroe and Lawrence Gilbert added 16.

Turner grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds, including seven on the offensive end for Louisiana-Monroe, which lost the battle of the boards 36-31.

The win was the Cajuns’ 24th straight over ULM in the city of Lafayette. Louisiana won its fourth straight game in the CAJUNDOME and fourth in the past five games overall.
