SUN BELT CONFERENCE FOOTBALL MEDIA DAYS

Release of television schedule, preseason all-conference team, and preseason coaches poll will be release via e-mail and available on www.sunbeltsports.org at 8 a.m. (CT) on Monday, July 20.

The Sun Belt Conference’s first-of-its-kind Football Media Day will be conducted on July 20 and 21 as the league will use 21st century technology to produce its annual event in an economically conscious way.

The Sun Belt Conference, its member institutions and its media outlets will save more than $30,000 combined by taking the Sun Belt Conference Media Day to a web based event.

Over the course of two days head coaches and student-athletes will conduct interviews using streaming internet technology. Members of the media can watch online and ask questions over the phone. Those unable to watch the live video feed will still be able to listen in and ask their questions via phone.

Additionally, the Sun Belt Conference will provide supplementary onscreen graphics for those watching on their computer screens. Members of the media can expect these enhancements to include notable statistical information, upcoming schedules, and team facts.

The Sun Belt Conference will also embark on a Media Tour as fall football camps get underway in early August. Members of the Sun Belt Conference staff will trek to each member institution campus to meet with local media and scout the upcoming season. Sun Belt Conference fans can expect video interviews and features with coaches and players on the official website of the Sun Belt Conference, www.sunbeltsports.org.
